The Dhansiri is a small river in Bengal that a poet made immortal. Jibanananda Das promised he would come back to its banks — and that single line has meant returning to Bengalis ever since.

We took the name because that is exactly what a good restaurant is for. Not a place you visit once, but the one your family keeps coming back to — for the Friday kacchi, the plate of naan and grill after work, the table in the corner where a birthday gets loud.

You will find us above C.K. Ghosh Road in the middle of Mymensingh, across two floors of Harun Tower: one for everyday family dining, one for the evenings that deserve a room of their own. The kitchen cooks Bangladeshi first — kacchi, tehari, bhuna, tandoor — with a Chinese section for the table that never agrees.
